Waitlist privacy notice
In short: we only ask for what we need to keep your place and send your invite. We keep it on secure servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Only the meetvoy team can see it. We never sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@meetvoy.com.
This notice covers the meetvoy waitlist at meetvoy.com, before the app opens. When you create an account in the app, the app's own privacy notice will apply.
Who is responsible for your details
meetvoy is being founded by Govind Chhawchharia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Until the meetvoy company is formed, he is responsible for your waitlist details. When the company is formed, it will take over this responsibility under the same terms, and we will update this notice and let you know.

We do not ask for your ID, photos, exact location or payment details on the waitlist. You must be 18 or over to join.
Our reason for using your details
We use your details because you agree to it when you tick the box and join, as allowed by the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). You can withdraw that agreement at any time, and we will then delete your details.
We only use your details for the meetvoy waitlist and launch. We never sell them, never share them with advertisers, and never use them for dating or for anything unrelated to meetvoy.
Where your details are stored
Your details are stored in a database run for us by Supabase, Inc., on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, in the European Union. Supabase only stores and processes the details on our instructions, under a data processing agreement, and cannot use them for itself. The details are encrypted while they travel over the internet and while they are stored.
This means your details are kept outside the UAE. We chose Germany because the European Union's data protection law gives your details a high level of protection. By joining, you agree to your details being stored there.
The website itself is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which, like any web host, briefly processes technical details such as your connection's address to deliver the page to you. The website's fonts are served from meetvoy.com itself, so your browser does not contact any font company.
Who can see your details
Only members of the meetvoy team whom the founder has approved, each signing in with their own email. Nobody else, on the internet or elsewhere, can read the waitlist. If we ever need another company to help send invites (for example a WhatsApp messaging service), we will only share what is needed to send your message, under a written agreement.
If you joined with a friend's invite link, that friend only sees that one more person has joined. They do not see your name or details.
Messages we send you
We will message you once your invite is ready. If you ticked the box for launch news, we may also send a few updates before launch. To stop them, reply STOP on WhatsApp, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or write to info@meetvoy.com.
How long we keep your details
We keep them until the first of these: you create a meetvoy account (the app's privacy notice then applies), you ask us to delete them, or 12 months after the app opens in your area. After that we delete them. Sign-ups we remove as spam are deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the details we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your details, or withdraw your agreement, at any time.
- Ask us to stop sending you launch news.
Email info@meetvoy.com from the email or WhatsApp number you joined with, so we know it's you. We reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
On your device
The website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics tools. After you join, it saves your invite code in your browser, so it can show your place in line when you come back. You can remove it by clearing your browser's site data, or with "Not you? Join with different details" on the page.
Keeping your details safe
The waitlist can only be read by approved team members after signing in. The public page can only add people to the list and show how many have joined. We review who has access regularly and remove anyone who no longer needs it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and tell you by WhatsApp or email before the change applies.
